![]() Add in a solid wide-shallow fcs, the white boosters, some good cooling, and you've got yourself a pretty versatile build that's got a lot of ammo for more drawn out fights too. The difficulty can be annoying at points, but it's all pretty doable.īest build tip I can give is to rock a light-middle weight bi-ped with the pixie machine gun, the shotgun that looks like 4 tubes just molded together, and the missile launcher than shoots 3 at once and carries 60 ammo. There's a TON of build variety to be experienced and a lot of super cool missions. I beat it for the first time on PSP so it was actually even harder than the PS2 version since you had less buttons to work with and the lock boxes are smaller, but I still had fun with it. Honestly, it's not my favorite but it grew on me with time. Armored core 3 and SL are easily standouts in the FS and AC portfolio I'd say they honestly rival the series but even if I'm an outlier in that regard I'll die on that hill.Įdit: also, christ the machine gun burst fire rework annoyed the fuck out of me. Games that truly encapsulated the modern era of what makes from soft such a powerhouse of a dev team. Silent line and 3 I feel were peak of the ps2 era games, truly masterworks that stand the test of time thematically, gameplay driven, tonal in both scale, and scope as well as in their soundtracks. Nexus felt superior in that there were interesting story beats to it but Last raven almost at times felt like it was a series at the end of its life with the characters coming off exhausted with war which was very much on point as some characters, newcomers almost seemed to not notice or even relish the intensity of an endwar but in the end the rebalances mechanically and soundtrack just felt spent in some ways and in others it felt like it was wrapping stories. ![]() An end of the world scenario made anemic with some minor poor decisions. Last raven feels like the bones of a good game. The fact it wasnt at least karisawa powerful or a contender felt like it shipped bugged and back then obviously there were no post launch updates. I do believe the game was seriously under developed and that the signature new energy rifle was made so under powered likely by mistake. I can remember feeling like mechanically too much had changed in my eyes for me to be comfortable with it. I played the game when it came out, I'd been 15 at the time. But blatant Gen-Bashing (" sucks and is bad because it's bad!") accomplishes literally nothing but reigniting decade-old flame wars that are better left buried. It's okay to not like a game, or a couple games. But civilized arguments are a thing, so make sure you keep them as such. Disputes will happen, because this is the internet, and people will have a different opinion from you. ![]() The Wiki will be updated over time! RULESīe respectful.
